OCZ Releases Vertex 3 Max IOPS

Oh great, another SSD release. This time it’s a quick addition to OCZ’s recently released Vertex 3 SSD line, namely the Vertex 3 Max IOPS Sata III SSD. It’s got the fast performance of the normal Vertex 3’s but with better random write performance. It comes in two sizes, 120GB and 240GB. They’re $296.99 and $556.99 from Amazon, respectively. By my calculations, that’s $2.47/gigabyte for the 120GB drive and $2.32/gigabyte for the 240GB drive. It’s still very expensive, but it’s still very fast as well.
