Spire Releases New CPU Cooler

· by John Ponio

Yet another CPU cooler has joined the market, namely the Spire Gemini. Named the Gemini because it features two twin towers, this cooler has six 6mm all-copper U-shaped heat pipes, 52 stamped aluminum fins, and two 120mm fans, and a whole host of other features which will be listed below. The picture above only shows one fan, but the cooler comes with two fans mounted on both sides. Why they decided to have two smaller fin-towers instead of having the fins go all of the way across is beyond me. There are three versions: one with both a PCI fan-speed controller and PWM, one with only PWM, and one without PWM and a PCI fan-speed controller. It’s compatible with sockets 775/1155/1156/1366 for Intel and AM2/AM3/940/939 for AMD. Intel’s socket 1155 is the Sandy Bridge socket. Just so you know, 1155 is physically the same as 1156, so if you have an 1156 cooler it will work with 1155. Check out more pictures here. The coolers are now available from their factory for $59.99 USD.
