Skype Problems

· by John Ponio

If you’re one of the many users of Skype, most likely you’re experiencing a connection problem. Don’t worry, you aren’t alone. This problem is affecting millions of Skype users. In a blog post today, Skype said that the problem is with their “supernodes.” Skype doesn’t host everything from their servers, they use peer-to-peer connections. What these “supernodes” are are computers on the P2P network that act as directories. If your Skype application can’t find someone online, it will ask the “supernode” how to find that person.
