OCZ Launches RevoDrive 3 and RevoDrive 3 X2

OCZ has recently launched their newest in the line of RevoDrives: the RevoDrive 3 and the RevoDrive 3 X2. For those of you who don’t know, a RevoDrive is a super-speedy SSD that plugs into a PCI slot instead of a SATA port. Daryl Lang, Vice President of Product Management of OCZ Technology, said, “OCZ RevoDrive 3 PCIe SSDs use our VCA [Virtualized Controller Architecture] 2.0 technology to deliver superior performance and functionality for everything from scientific computing to high availability clustering. This exciting new workstation-class storage product accelerates application performance and takes full advantage of today’s multithreaded processors and software, providing customers with greater throughput in an easy-to-deploy, single card solution.” A chart copied from the press release shows just how crazy fast the new drives are.
