News That Isn't News: NVIDIA Revamps 3dfx Voodoo

Today is April Fool’s Day, and there’s a lot of false news floating around. Here’s one from the Big Wigs: NVIDIA is revamping the 3dfx Voodoo line with the 3dfx Voodoo 590. They claim that the NVIDIA developers developed GeForce cards by day, and 3dfx cards by night. “The Voodoo 590 is indeed the most remarkable graphics card we have ever seen. While the most powerful graphics cards today use at most two GPUs on a single board, the Voodoo 590 uses a mind boggling two hundred and thirty-three VSA-100 chips.” Clearly this is false news, but it’s pretty funny.
