Intel Extends SSD 320 Series Warranty

Have an Intel SSD 320 series ? Good news. Your warranty was just extended by Intel from 3 years to 5 years. Full warranty details can be found here. It applies to all 320 Series SSDs, no matter if you already bought it in the past or are going to buy it. Curiously, the press release doesn’t say why they’re extending it. All they say is, “Confident in the enhanced reliability features of its recently introduced third-generation solid-state drive (SSD)…” I’m wondering if this is because of a problem they found with the drives which will manifest itself in the 4th or 5th year of use, and they don’t want a law suit. Only time will tell, but at least your warranty is longer.
