Hotmail Adds Throwaway E-Mail Options

· by John Ponio

As internet users, most of you have at least two e-mails: one for your family and friends and one for internet accounts such as our forums. You also probably know that checking two or more e-mail accounts can get annoying, which is why Hotmail has added the option to add more addresses to your inbox, so you can give the address to websites around the internet, and if you get spammed too much, all you have to do is delete it. Dharmesh Mehta, who is the Windows Live director of product management, told CNET “Today we all often have multiple e-mail accounts for many different reasons. One of which is that I don’t want to give my real address out to any site in the world. I might be worried they’ll spam me with newsletters, or they might resell it to other marketers. Who knows what can happen?” It also puts the message into your main inbox. Hotmail allows up to 5 aliases, and in the future they will allow up to 15.
