Gigabyte Launches New Laptop, Includes Docking Station
Gigabyte announced their new 14” M2432 laptop, complete with its own docking station. This isn’t any regular old docking station, mind you. The docking station has its own GPU inside of it, which is a GT 440 with 1GB DDR5 VRAM. This means that if you want desktop graphics performance when you’re at home or at the office, you’ve got it without having to lug around a giant laptop. Speaking of size, it’s only 27.6mm thick (about an inch), and it weights 1.81KG (about four pounds). Sadly, the 14” laptop’s display is only 1366x768. It’s not a terrible resolution but it certainly is low. It comes with a Core i5 and Intel HD 3000 graphics as well. The press release doesn’t give the exact model of the processor, though. It is an attractive brushed aluminum and it comes in red or silver. It does support USB 3.0 as well. No word on pricing or availability, sadly.
