Gabe Newell Makes His Steam Username and Password Public

· by John Ponio

Gabe Newell, who is Valve’s CEO, made his Steam username and password open to the public in an attempt to show how good Steam’s new “Steam Guard” is. Steam Guard is Steam’s new security feature that links an account to a specific computer. It’s entirely optional, of course. But this will probably be the best test Valve can do as almost *anyone* who would try to hack the security feature would try to hack Newell’s account, as it has every single Steam game available on it. If you’re interested in trying to break the security feature with Gabe’s account, his username and password will follow.
