Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Announced

If you haven’t heard of Counter-Strike, you’ve probably not been a gamer for very long. Originally a mod of the source engine, the game has blossomed into one of the most played PC games ever. It has topped charts since it’s original release in 1999. Well, Valve has recently announced a sequel to it: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. A game firm called Hidden Path Entertainment who is based in Seattle, where Valve is from, is developing the game with Valve. It’s aimed for a release in early 2012 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac. You can read the announcement here and check out the game page here.
