B3 Revision Sandy Bridge Boards Announced
If you haven’t heard, there’s a big problem with the newest Sandy Bridge chipset. Intel has released information and pretty much all of the motherboard manufacturers have ways to get the chipset replaced. MSI is announcing a new revision of their Sandy Bridge motherboards dubbed B3, for Big Bang Marshal (B3) which is just a new revision of the P67 boards which is B3 stepping ready. According to MSI, “consumers can now identify the latest MSI P67/H67 mainboards equipped with the Intel B3 stepping chipset with the MSI B3 Stepping Ready logo.” You can check the boards out here. For other vendors than MSI, new chipsets are expected to be selling on boards in April. If you want to buy now and wait for the RMA stuff to go through, make sure to buy from more main-stream vendors.
