Asus Announces New Ultrathin UX-Series Laptops

Asus recently announced a new ultrathin, ultraportable laptop at Computex 2011. Measuring just 17mm at its thickest, this new laptop series, branded the UX series (pictured on the right), is made of an aluminum alloy, and it features a “smartphone-like touchpad.” What exactly that is is beyond me. Specifications were slack in the announcement, but it does feature 2nd generation Intel Core process up to the i7, 6GB/s SATA SSDs, and an instant-on feature.
