Apple Releases Helpful Guide for Mac Defender Relief

In a complete turnabout from the other day’s post about Apple’s tech support, Apple (apparently two days ago, or that’s the last modify-date) released a guide to removing Mac Defender and how to avoid it if you don’t have it already. The ZDNet source article was written a day before the guide was released, but I wonder why there’s such a big change. The guide, which can be read on Apple’s website, guides the reader through a fairly simple process of deleting the MacDefender files. It also says an update will be released shortly that will find and delete any MacDefender files, so you won’t have to worry about it remaining on your Mac. There is no response on the source article of the other day’s post saying anything about the apparent turn-around, and no new post on Ed Bott’s blog about it.
