PowerColor Video Card: SCS2 Cooling Technology

· by John Chen

PowerColor incorporated the nice heatpipe design on their X700 and implemented on the X800 XL, but the 512MB version. I’m loving it.

Introduction
SCS1 system has been applied to a lot of PowerColor video card, such as Radeon X700 Bravo. According to famous review website, HardOCP: “ It is important to note that we did not experience any lockups or any artifacts without the use of the fan, however. Gaming was 100% stable without the fan. “ SCS fanless design brings you the whole new experience in your entertainment system!

SCS2 is our latest achievement and the latest cooling technology applied to PowerColor video card. By using its special design, we can lower down the temperature and take away the heat more efficiently. Now, you can find this unique device on out new video card: X800XL 512MB.

Efficient air flow
The heat pipes bring the heat from the GPU (top of video card) to the back heat sink (back of video card.) The cooling fan on the back heat sink will direct the hot air to the top and the case cooling fan will bring it out of the case.
The old design of graphic card cooling fan will only bring the hot air to the bottom of case.

Auto-Cooling Innovation
Smart FAN will activate when temperature of GPU goes up. The speed of fan will automatically adjust by the GPU temperature.

GPU Life Extended
With SCS2 excellent heat dissipation, the GPU’s life can be extended at least 20% than the situation with regular fan solution.

Quiet Cooling Solution
X-Large HeatSink surface with Low-Speed Smart FAN – Sound Level is under 19dB.

HeatPipe Technology
2 x gold-plated copper tubes (£r5mm, £r6mm x2) - making the heat transporting more efficiently.

Stylish Design
With Cold Blue LED.light, it makes your PC system more stylish.
