Arrgghh. Back To Work..
I can’t believe that I got a tax return! A nice whopping $210 ain’t too shabby. After this bit of news, I have to go to sleep so I can show up early at work at 8am!
DDR2 Memory Roundup Q2 2005 @ Madshrimps
“Today in our DDR2 Roundup we´re seeking to accomplish two goals. Foremost: to compare performance among several models of DDR2 supplied by Tier 1 memory manufacturers. Second: to exemplify the overclocking community´s influence in re-shaping the world of the Desktop PC. Products have been supplied from Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, Mushkin, and Transcend. Our platform will be the mid-level Abit AA8 Durmax and Pentium-4 550 both water-cooled.”
DDR2 is the latest promoted computer hardware. All memory makers are pushing for great PC2-6400 memory. I believe Corsair and OCZ currently have the fastest. Not to bag on the review or anything, but that testbed they used isn’t going to cut it. A lower end 925X chipset paired with a high multi CPU just can’t get good memory results. That’s the main reason why I held back on doing DDR2 reviews. I need a freakin 10x multi CPU dammnit!
Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 Serial ATA II Review @ ClubOC
Motherboards now support SATA2 so it’s only a matter of time when the hard drives come out. Hitachi drives are a big hit mainly because of price and performance but they’re a bit noisy. Check how SATA2 performs.
AMD’s Athlon 64 X2 processors reviewed @ TR
Finally, we see some greatness from AMD’s dual core CPU’s. Damn I getting “excited”.
