Just minutes ago I received an e-mail from Fight for the Future, one of the main activists in the fight against SOPA and PIPA, saying that the two horrendous bills have been dropped as a result of the protests that took place on Wednesday. Their numbers claim that 13 million people contacted Congress to tell them their opinion on the two bills. It seems like a few other news outlets are reporting the same story, but we'll see if it's really true as the news progesses. A couple times now there have been reports of the bill being dropped or postponed, but most have been shams to get people's attention off of it. As the e-mail said, SOPA and PIPA -esque bills will undoubtedly pop up again, so stay on guard and shout the news when they do spring up. Keep on fighting for your freedom, internet, and if it really is over for now, good job.
