Recovery of all of the factories over in Thailand seems to be going pretty well, but according to Hitachi Vice President Brendan Collins, the industry won't do so well. He doesn't expect it to recover to full capacity until the end of the year, even though factories may be up and running as soon as February. Supplies may even reach zero, due to a shortage of "related upstream components," or various parts that are required to assemble working hard drive. It will be pretty sad if he is right, but in the mean time good luck getting a good price on a hard drive.
