There have been pieces of information floating around about ASUS's upcoming Eee PC Flare netbooks, which make use of Intel's recently-shipped Cedar Trail CPUs. Well, Notebook Italia has gotten their hands on some more solid information. As you can see from the above picture, the new netbooks come in all sorts of new colors, living up to their "Flare" moniker.

There will be two different form factors for the models, a 10-inch version and an 12-inch version. Both form factors have two models. The 10-inch models will use the new Atom N2600 and Atom N2800 processors, and the 12-inch models will use both the new Atom processors or AMD Fusion processors.

The new netbooks are expected to be shown off at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, where release-dates and pricing information, as well as more features, will hopefully be revealed. I like the style of the netbooks, and the color choices will be nice for those of you who are into that sort of thing. I'm surprised, though, that ASUS is trying again for netbooks. With the rush of tablets on the market, and the release of ultrabooks, netbooks are getting their market encroached upon. Hopefully it will be priced highly competitively, because if the netbooks are the same price as a tablet I would honestly rather have the tablet. To each their own, I guess, but good luck to Asus in this new venture. Source and image credit.
