Today was an odd day for Microsoft, because they released an out-of-band security update. The new update fixes four big security holes, but only one of them is public. The bulletin says, "The security update addresses the vulnerabilities by correcting how the .NET Framework handles specially crafted requests, and how the ASP.NET Framework authenticates users and handles cached content." If you have automatic updates on you should be good, but if not and you want the update because sure check Windows Update and download it. Known problems and solutions to those problems can be found here. This update applies to everything form Windows XP to Windows Home Server 2003 to Windows 7.
