Recently there's been an outlash against Go Daddy for their vocal support of SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act, and many have threatened and started to move their domains to other providers. Now that they realize that they're going to lose a large amount of business, they're changing their position and they will now oppose SOPA. CEO of Go Daddy Warren Adelman said:

"Fighting online piracy is of the utmost importance, which is why Go Daddy has been working to help craft revisions to this legislation - but we can clearly do better. It's very important that all Internet stakeholders work together on this. Getting it right is worth the wait. Go Daddy will support it when and if the Internet community supports it."

Go Daddy and their lawyers have been helping craft the legislation, but they say the bill goes too far in its current form. They do believe that the legislation needs to happen, but they want to get it right the first time. You can read the press release here.
