AMD Releases AMD Branded RAM Line

AMD announced today their release of the AMD Memory brand RAM modules. Together with Patriot Memory and VisionTek Products, the new line of AMD-branded RAM seeks to improve performance when partnered with AMD APUs, CPUs, and graphics cards. Support for other products, such as Intel processors, is in the works. Memory will come in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB modules, with a whole range of specifications and prices. There are three different categories: Entertainment, Performance, and Radeon Edition. The Entertainment comes in 1333MHz and 1600MHz vartiaions; the Performance series comse in a range of different frequencies up to 1600MHz with low latency in matched pairs; the Radeon Edition runs at 1866MHz and "is tuned, tested and certified for specific AMD platforms to enable maximum performance at competitive pricing." Prices weren't released in press release, but they will be available from websites such as Bestbuy.ca, Amazon.com, Newegg, and a few others in the coming days.
