Internet Explorer Drops Below 50% Market Share

For a while now, Internet Explorer has been dropping its market share, while Google's Chrome browser has been slowly gaining market share. As of October 2011, Internet Explorer has dropped below market share at 49.58%, while Chrome is up to 16.59%. At this rate, estimates put Chrome at 20% in Q2 2012. Apple's Safari browser has also been gaining a small segment of the market, and it now stands at 8.54%. Opera has been losing, and it is now at 1.49%.
