If you haven't read by now, major flooding over in Thailand is affecting a whole number of factories, and companies such as Western Digital and Seagate have had to shut down production because of it. Well, now Toshiba can be added to the list of manufactures affected by the flooding. Near their semiconductor factories, water is as high as 3 meters in some places, and 1.5 meters high inside of the factories themselves. Near their HD factories, the 1-meter-deep water has damaged their facilities. Production is expected to be moved to other factories, but production volume will be lower due to fewer factories. No employees were harmed, thankfully. You can read the press releases here.
