If you haven't tried out the Windows 8 developer build, it's calling you. For those of you who have, you'll probably understand all the complaints people have been having with Windows 8's new Metro UI in place of the Start Menu. From the inability to close Metro UI apps without using the task manager to the inefficiency of scrolling through the App List in the Metro UI with a mouse, Microsoft has been getting all sorts of complaints about why people don't like the change. Microsoft is still sticking behind their change, though. They've recently made a first-in-a-series blog post defending the new UI, as well as saying why it's the next step in the evolution.
