CES brought us many cool products and proof-of-concept prototypes, but one of the things I'm most excited for is Star Wars, every episode, coming to Blu-ray in September of this year. "With all six episodes available for the first time in one collection, this a great way for families and home audiences to experience the complete saga from start to finish," said Doug Yates, Vice President of Marketing, Online, Distribution, Lucasfilm Ltd. "And with the quality of high-definition, Blu-ray provides the most immersive home experience possible." You can get every episode for $140, or separate box sets of either episodes I-III or episode IV-VI for $70 each. Amazon is already taking pre-orders, and right now they're cheaper than what they're supposed to sell for. Some may ask "Won't the quality be horrible because it's so old?" But really, it depends on the converter they used. If they still have the film master, technically the "resolution" and detail is still there. The quality of the image will all depend on what machine they use to convert it from film to Blu-ray.
