CES is coming up, which means Intel will be debuting their new "Sandy Bridge" processors. At a recent event, Intel people claimed that the first generation of these new processors will be quad-core, with dual-cores coming out later. The quad-cores will be available in January, and dual-cores will be available in February. Laptop vendors are expected to be showing off their new quad-core laptops, although they aren't allowed to show off dual-core Sandy Bridge notebooks until Februrary. CNet's source says that the quad-core laptops will be 15in. and 17in. models.
