AMD Phenom Overclock

While only in 144th place for the highest overclock for a CPU, a Brazilian team has overclocked an AMD Phenom II X4 975BE (with a stock frequency of 3.6GHz) to 7,134MHz. The interesting thing about the records are that all overclocks that were faster were carried out on single-core processors. This was done on a quad-core, making it the fastest modern multi-core overclock on record. On an ASUS Crosshair IV Formula motherboard, they used 1.788V,  a bus speed of 226MHz, and a multiplier of 31.5 (up from 18) with much liquid nitrogen to do this.
