Today (November 17th) Hulu announced the official launch of their Hulu Plus monthly-subscription service. For those of you who don't know, Hulu is a television and movie streaming service, with partners such as ABC and NBC, which allows you to stream television shows and movies to your computer for free. You only have to watch a limited number of ads, which total times amounts to far less than the commercials you'll see while watching a show on cable. While you will still have to watch Hulu's ads if you're subscribed to Hulu Plus, what you pay for is the back-log of television seasons. If you subscribe, you will get hundreds of episodes that free users won't have access to. With this announcement, Hulu lowered the monthly price from $9.99 to $7.99, and promises a credit to all of the preview users who payed $9.99. The entire blog post can be read here.
