In a series of ongoing lawsuits between Motorola and Microsoft, the latest has Motorola suing Microsoft for copyright infringement of at least 6 patents. Apparently, Windows 7, Windows Phone 7, Bing, Windows Live Messaging, and the Xbox all violate the patents. Horacio Gutierrez, who is the corporate vice president and deputy general counsel of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Microsoft, said that this litigation won't stop them from continuing on with their current lawsuits against Motorla.

Here are some things which, according to Motorola, violate their patents:

  • Windows mobile software
  • Outlook
  • Messenger
  • Microsoft's mobile software
  • Windows Marketpalce
  • Bing Maps
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity in the Xbox
  • Password technology in the Xbox
