Windows XP About to Lose Market Share War to Windows 7

It's been a long time coming, but Windows 7 is almost about to have more market share than Windows XP. According to a recent study, at the end of July Windows XP had 42.86% of the Windows market share while Windows 7 had 42.21%. Windows 7 has been out for years now, so this is really surprising. It's crazy to think of how many people out there have that old of computers that they would be running Windows XP. Based on the trends, it's expected that Windows 7 will finally surpass Windows XP this month. As this is only one study its accuracy isn't 100%, so Windows 7 could already have overtaken Windows XP. Netmarketshare, who did the study, is generally close enough to be trusted, though. Check out the numbers here
