Microsoft Surface

Recently there were rumors all over the news about a Swedish website posting Microsoft's Surface tablet starting at what compares to $1000 for the entry-level model, with three other SKUs costing even more. It seemed as if everyone was outraged at the high price from Microsoft, and others found it hard to believe. Well, it turns out that the pricing on that website was indeed incorrect, but sadly we still don't know what the real pricing will be. According to Webhallen, the website that started this controversy, the pricing was merely an over-estimate to let customers start pre-ordering. The website told Techie-Buzz:

Our customers are very interested in pre-ordering these products, so we have set a high preliminary pricing for the lineup so that they may be able to pre-order them.

Just to clarify, we have not recieved any pricing from Microsoft regarding MRSP or purchasing net cost, and any people who have booked the Surface at this high price will of course have their order adjusted before any product is shipped. So we’re not going to overcharge anyone for being an early adopter.
