Two new drivers all in one day? It's like Christmas! Except not so much. AMD has released their Catalyst 12.6 Driver Suite as well as the Catalyst 12.7 beta drivers. The Catalyst 12.6 update doesn't do all that much, just fixes a few bugs and adds Crossfire profiles for more games. The Catalyst 12.7 beta drivers, however, do quite a bit. Performance in games is up as much as 25%, according to the release notes.

Straight from the release notes, performance for the following games is up by the percent listed:

  • Up to 25% Skyrim
  • Up to 6% in Crysis 2
  • Up to 20% in Total War: Shogun 2
  • Up to 3.3% in Battlefield 3
  • Up to 6.9% In 3DMark™ 11
  • Up to 4.8% in Aliens vs. Predator
  • Up to 6.5% in Batman: Arkham City
  • Up to 8% in Crysis Warhead
  • Up to 7.2% in F1 2010
  • Up to 8% in Just Cause 2
  • Up to 12% in Wolfenstein MP
Also with the 12.7 beta is anti-aliasing support for Diablo III in the Catalyst Control Center.
