Logitech Announces G600 MMO Gaming Mouse
|
Logitech has announced a new addition to their G Series gaming mice: the G600 MMO gaming mouse. Similar to Razer's Naga, this mouse includes 12 programmable thumb-buttons. The total number of buttons is 20, up 3 from the Naga's 17 buttons. There are three default modes for the mouse, two for MMO gaming and one for other gaming. There's also a "G-shift" button that, like the shift key on your keyboard, lets each button perform two functions. Mark Starrett, who is the snior global product manager for Logitech, said,
The thumb buttons' color is customizable, with up to 16 million color options. You can even set different colors for the different profiles, which lets you easily know which profile you're on. Lighting can be set to on, off, pulsating, or dim-after-set-period-of-time.
As you can see, it looks very similar to the Razer Naga. How's it stack up in the specs? Pretty well. The Naga's DPI maxes out at 5600 DPI with 200 inches per second tracking speed. The G600's DPI maxes out at 8200 DPI with 160 inches per second tracking speed. Both have specially designed feet for low traction. The G600 is one gram lighter than the Naga, and their sizes are within millimeters of each other. Like Razer's Naga, the G600 retails for $79.99. Unlike the Naga, the G600 won't be available until July. Pre-orders are available now on the product page, though. More pictures and information is available there as well.
