NVIDIA Bumped to the Front of the Manufacturing Line for 28nm Process

If you've been trying to buy one of NVIDIA's new GTX 6xx series cards, you probably haven't been able to. They've been out of stock probably since day 1. Luckily, NVIDIA was just bumped to the front of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC) line, meaning their 28nm chips for the Kepler (6xx series) video cards will be manufactured soon.

This comes after rumors floated around that NVIDIA was talking with Samsung and Globalfoundries about having them manufacture the chips because TSMC couldn't keep up production. After hearing that, and with complaints from NVIDIA, TSMC bumped them up in the queue, followed by Qualcomm for the number 2 spot, who had rumors of the same nature floating around. The number 1 spot in the queue for NVIDIA should mean that they'll be able to release more Kepler GPUs this month and the next.
