Google's latest project to be released, Google Drive, has launched. As rumored, it offers 5GB of storage free, in addition to 10GB for GMail storage and 1GB for Picasa storage. Upgrade options are quite affordable at 25GB for $2.49/month, or 50GB for $4.99/month. For a comparison, Dropbox (a competing cloud storage solution) offers 50GB for $9.99/month or $99.99/year, or 100GB for $19.99/month or $199.99/year. Of course, there are options from both if you need terabytes of storage, but those can get rather pricey. Google Drive is compatible with PC and Mac, as well as Android devices. iPhone and iPad compatibility is said to be coming soon.
