It's been a long time coming, but OCZ has finally released a firmware update to their Vertex, Agility, and Solid2 SSDs that were made after December of 2009. The firmware update increases some benchmarks by quite a bit, actually. Updating does require erasing the entire drive, so you'll have to make sure you're not running Windows off of the drive you're updating if you want to get the update.
Like I said, the only drives that are able to be updated were made after 2009. To find out if your drive is eligible, OCZ released a handy tool that will spit out a code that will tell you whether or not it can be updated. The codes that mean the drive is eligible are found on the main update guide (linked below).
Updating is a big hassle, so what's the point? Speeds. The new firmware surprisingly increases (some) benchmarks by quite a bit; real life benchmarks, too. To read up on those, check out this post. To download the update itself, check out the main update guide.
