Overclocking my 630

Okay so this afternoon after iv been tinkering on my pc i started overclocking and I too it from 3.05ghz@200mhz to 270mhz before it was having trouble booting windows! I ran super pi every so many mhz just to get an idea of whats chaging and the last i ran it at was 260 mhz. Problem is i was able to run just fine at 260mhz and when i lowered back down to 260 it is now unstable! Seriously what the hell iv tried changing voltages and lowering timings but none have worked so far. I guess i just dont understand why it was semi stable and now it wont even boot up to windows? Dammit and i was proud of my 4.05ghz bench like you dont even know...

voltage. try pumping more volts to it. afaik proc's think voltage is like crack to a feind. Once they have it all the time they need it, all the time. So if you have pushed 1.52 on this chip of yours for so long and tried lowering it a bit, it won't have it....it's addicted to the 1.52...
tho it's pretty much just a theory....
and that's my guess as to what you need to do.

Iv already tried to find a few settings that would work such as raising the cpu core back to 1.4500v and iv tried upping the mhz but lo it still wont boot windows. So i then consutled my manual because i couldnt get it to post whenever i changed the cmos position and i couldnt find an answer there either. It is already set to the cpu defaults so a reset wouldnt change anything but im willing to try anything for it to just turn ON!

hrm, what's the error? i suppose it could be something amiss with the cpu, or memory, but i'm not willing to give in and say it's a hardware issue. I've run into a million errors overclocking where the os just won't load and an inplace upgrade is called for...

Okay here is what it does It loads up the bios and does a system check for processor and whatnot, then scans the ide drives (takes longer than i remember) then it goes and scans for any sata drives. Now normally after it scanned for ata drives it would poause for a second or two before it would say windows x-64 professional edition and then it would log on and load up. However since it went unstable on me and i started stepping back the overclock it never goes to the windows x64 loading screen, in fact i never even see any of the blue loading screen or anything it just sits blank. It never even restarts it just sits in loop for an hour heating up my room...
