Netgear
Ok I have bought a new Netgear Routuor because my linksys sucks.
On my hardwire connection with the router speeds are really slow around 3000 kbps but when i connect it directly from the cable modem the speeds shoot back up at 6000 kbps. Any suggestions? |

Netgear isn't that great either. Is everything in its usual condition? ex. signal, settings, etc.

NetGear Router
I agree that Netgear is not all that good either but in my opinion they are far better than Linksys. I have owned about 10 Linksys routers and had trouble with all of them. I have had no trouble with my NetGear. You might try going to the Netgear web server and check all your settings. The netgear server is 192.168.0.1 and the user name is "admin" and the password is "password". You can then check all your settings. Just be carefull if you make any changes. I use a Dynamic setting instead of Static. I have reset the "lease" setting and the NetGear does not seem to like it. Sometimes it takes several attempts to renew the lease. Check it out and see if it helps.
