-Selling BFG 6800 GT OC. Used for one week. Overclocked well to 420/1200 (past Ultra speeds) and still have all the original packaging and items that came with it. I can't post pics at the moment, but they are all over the net if you want to see pics of it. I'm selling it because I'm finally getting my X800XT and I am asking for close to what I paid for it because I barely even used it. That, and BFG OC 6800 GTs are harder to find. Paid 440 (with tax and shipping).

Asking 420 shipped USPS Priority anywhere in the U.S.

Well, I'm mostly interested in the memory. The memory has served me well with someXP systes that bnefit form the lower latency. However, with my Shuttle An50R, the memory will never let me up CL to 2.5, where I see much better overclocks. So I'm hoping I trade for higher CL memory (such as PC4000).

THe cpu is whatevers, just trying to find a new toy to play with (I can do a straight trade for a 3000+ if its the Newcastle version with CG). The same is for the Shuttle.

With the X800 Pro, I'm looking to get an XT soon, and a 6800 GT later, so this one I only got because I thought with its 1.6ns ram and its idential PCB to teh XT, that it can be modded. I assumed wrong since the bridges were never laser cut, yet the 12 pipes are still there. This particular X800 pro has been the highest overclocker out of the 3 x800s that I've owned.

pc4000 wont do u any good with ur amd system

I'd like to see what how higher clock speeds would affect the performance though. Some memory (PC4000s) can lower to CL 2.5 which isn't too bad from CL2. Currently I have some level one Mushkins at CL2.5 that can overclock my system to 2.4 MHz 1:1. Pretty weird huh? I'm hoping with the same timings (2.5 -3-3 8) I can get over 240 with some PC4000s or higher. Plus, I've been readin that A64s don't really have any significant increases in performance with tighter timings.

I wish I could say this is my 3rd $450 video card. Are your parents rich or you just have a good job.

I'm not rich, I live in a makeshift room (the living room) with 6 other guys in a crappy house and drive a beat up 94 Acura Integra. I always forgot to pay dues in my fraternity, would rather by Tygon tubing than get an oil change, and its been a long time since I've treated my girlfriend out.

Notice I'm wearing a band for drinks, but I've never bought a drink at a club ever. So..... I have my ways.

cas latency does matter...it only doesnt have that much of a difference when using the ocz eb memory...otherwise u lose a couple hundred points in sandra...3d mark u lose a lot too

Bumps are good even in small forums. They let people know that you are still selling the stuff. The bump made me look at the thread again lol.

So, are you actually selling your A64?

If so, how much do you want for it. I have an MSI K8N Neo that is in need of a playmate...

email me please: dewhite@dewhite.yi.org

Selling the 6800 GT now....

Mojo
07-25-2004, 10:55 PM
how much??

if you want to get some fast cash, i can give you 300$ for it

edit: i can get them at my local frys for 399.99 new so thats why i offered 300.. dont think im a moron :)

quicksilverXP
07-26-2004, 11:06 AM
Haha. You're not a moron. I'm selling it more to people that don't have Fry's near them. I can easily sell it on Ebay and make 470 plus (as I have seen) but would rather trade it to someone that would appreciate it more. Also, I paid shipping plus tax for mine so it costs more 399.99. People often overlook this issue in sales. They see a rumor or what I call a "lucky" sale that probably never was even real in the first place (for example, a PNY 6800 GT for 330 on buy.com... haha.... no one has ever gotten it yet... or even the CDW, Gateway, or Best Buy orders on X800 XTs) and then attribute that exact same price towards a forum sale. That to me is ridiculous. Forum sales are real and immediate. If you say "I saw this same card at ___.com for 60 dollars lower.... if you can match that I'll take it!!!" WTF!! HAHA.... those people make me sick. If they can buy it there for that much, why not just buy it from there? I can never understand this.

Anyways.... the card was sold last night... I just forgot to post it..... look here later for more things up for sale.
