almost pissed my pants lol so scary! its difficult cuz u gotta use ur flashlight a lot, i tried multyplayer, it was so hard but fun, i was afraid to pull out the flash light lol cuz id get popped. so fun! :thumbsup:

Well, it's almost 4am and I have to be at work around 9, BUT I did manage to get my butt up to Chicago for the Midnight Madness sale. I thought it would be typical Best Buy crap, but with only 5 or 6 BB's total...I have to get a keychain or somethin, right? Boy was I ever surprised. There was a local radio van to keep us entertained and Apparently BB is using the stores as a sort of "test" for future plans. I filled out a survey, got a DooM 3 shirt with NO BB logo on it, and finally found the blue mx510 from Logitech. They had at least 10 pc's with the game running and 3 of them were fat plasmas surrounded by Klipsch home series of speakers. I still can't believe that was BB, it looked nothing like the one I go to.
I'm totally beat, but I promise to post an avi with some highlights and outakes from BB employees. I'm off to look at the box and ogle my blue beauty ;-)

I don't see what all the fuss is about Doom 3. I've been playing it and while the graphics are top-notch it gets repetitive. Maybe I'm just not a fan of survival-action games.

im not a fan of any fps...so they get boring to me in like 5 mins
I like UT2k4 but it's very fast paced. I'll probably buy HL2 just for the CS mod. I've never played CS before lol.

using awp is not actually being a pussy...it takes a shietload of skill to rush with an awp and come face to face with a rifle...i tried...its freakin hard...at a far distance on a big map or when they camp, ok they're pussies...but rushing?...that takes skills...its too hard for me

Yes there will. Valve announced that all the Half-Life mods will be easily ported using the new engine. The CS port is being called Counterstrike:Source. Of course I hope they make a whole new game with better anti-hack/cheat things.

I love FPS games...I don't play em like crazy or anything but they certainly don't get old. Plus I don't really want a game that is too engrosing such as RPGs.

I just beat Doom3 and I loved it. Beat singleplayer game ever (system shock 2 and half-life following). Although i have to play it again now as at one point in the game you have the option to call for support (distress call to earth) or not send a call and i sent for help so now im going to play and not send for help... i don't know but i love stories and twists more than the actual gameplay at times :crazy:
Holy crap you already beat it? I still can't find the alpha team....

I played it straight... no stopping... took many many hours!!! It's quite long which I like! I played it on 'Marine' skill. Going to go through it now on 'Nightmare' skill.
Oh, and you have a quite a bit to go yet :)

Tech, it gets fun after the first few hours....and less repetitive. Once you get passed map 4-5, it gets funner. The first few levels are the most repetitive (not that they aren't awesome). Also, servers are already hosting 16 players. All it takes is a simple console command to allow up to 16 players in a server :D. This is good news for those of you who like a lot of players in a game.

Oh, thought you were talking about the sp. As for the mp maps, people will probably be releasing bigger ones soon that are made for 16 players...probably within days lol. There are many talented radiant mappers, and quite a few that want to move on to Doom 3.

No freakin' way. Headphones are waaaaay too scary. If I have to carry a mini flashlight, then I must have the directional cues of surround sound.
