BFG 6800 OC has 8 pipelines? - InsaneTek Forums

I just recently bought the BFG 6800 OC under the presumption that it has 12 pipelines like all the reviews said. But once I installed the card, I checked the Everest system information program and it said my card only has 8 pixel pipelines! I was quite shocked so I called BFG techical support and they verified that it indeed only has 8 pipelines and their BFG 6800 GT OC only has 12!!! In your review you said that the 6800 OC card you reviewed has 12 pipelines. Did you guys verify this information or did you just presume that BFG followed the spec of NVidia?
My system has Intel 3.0 ghz, 512 ddr400, and bfg 6800 and it was chugging in doom 3 more than it should have been.
I bought the card for 250 while other cards start at least 280 dollars. BFG really is screwing their customers with this one. We buy the card expecting that they only modify the fan but they took out 4 pipelines from both the regular 6800 and the GT without noting it on their website.

Here are the Nvidia specs:

6800LE ("light edition", not the EVGA Limited Edition): 8 pipes
6800: 12 pipes
6800GT: 16 pipes
6800 Ultra: 16 pipes

the card that was reviewed is indeed 12 pipes. check your BFG box and it should say 12 pipes. use rivatuner and see what it tells you. if it still says 8 pipes, then something is wrong. either the BFG tech is retarded and doesn't know anything, or they're selling fraudulent cards without notifying their customers. someone should be able to file a lawsuit.
