ECS shipped 2.5 million motherboards in July, but that isn't good enough for them. For the fourth quarter of 2006, ECS is targetting 3 million motherboards a month. ECS estimates that its shipments will be up 25% in the third quarter of this year, hoping for a total of 30 million motherboards for all of 2006.

ECS has set a shipment goal of 30 million motherboards for 2006, as reported on June 26. Last year, the company shipped 20.13 million motherboards.

It is hard to believe that there is demand for so many motherboards, and ECS is just one manufacturer. I still have my K7S5A around here somewhere...if any of you remember those.
